P M TR P II COS P P Jupiter standing front, head to left, holding thunderbolt in his right hand and long scepter in his left; at feet to left, below Jupiter's thunderbolt and mantle, small togate figure of Gordian III standing front, head to left, holding scroll (?) in his right hand. Calicó 3211. Cohen 188. RIC 21. An attractive, lustrous piece with a charming reverse. Good extremely fine.
